2022 ICCA Results!
On March 19, SoundWave finally got to compete in-person in ICCA Semifinals in Phoenix, Arizona. Not only did we receive awards for Outstanding Vocal Percussion (Mario Fong) and Outstanding Arrangement (Ryan Lizerbram), SoundWave ended up placing THIRD overall out of 10 amazing groups. Although we are sad that ICCA season has come to an end, we are so grateful for this amazing experience. Be on the lookout for the music video of our 2022 ICCA set- coming soon!

2022 ICCA Quarterfinal Results
SoundWave is so excited to announce that for the third year in a row, we are ICCA Semifinalists! We won first place overall in the Virtual Southwest Quarterfinals on March 5, 2022. We also won two outstanding awards: Outstanding Soloist (Jade Bajado) and Outstanding Choreography (Nicole Corvi). We are finally moving to Semifinals in Phoenix, Arizona, and will be competing in-person on March 19, 2022! We are so grateful for this opportunity and have loved competing against so many amazing groups this year.

2021 Virtual ICCA Results!
After the 2020 ICCA's cancellation and a year that had been extremely unpredictable, we were unsure about how the ICCA was going to progress. Finding out that ICCA was going to be entirely virtual this year created both a sense of relief and a major learning curve. Instead of doing our usual live performance and choreography, we had to learn video production and sound editing. Thanks to our amazing video committee and music arranger and mixer, Thaddeus, we were not only able to compete in the ICCA, but placed 2nd in Quarterfinals and moved on to Semifinals. We did not advance past the semis, but ICCA 2021 was truly an unforgettable experience. We can't wait to sing for you all in person in 2022!

SoundWave's First Ever EP
One of SoundWave's goals has always been to professionally record and release music on various streaming platforms. After countless hours of hard work by our amazing arranger and sound editor, Thaddeus Demeke, this dream finally came true. We were able to release No Peace on Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music this summer. No Peace includes all of the songs from our winning ICCA set, and it will always hold a special place in our hearts.

SoundWave's 2020 ICCA Set Music Video
SoundWave's first EVER music video is out! Shortly following our ICCA win in late February, we got together in a parking lot on campus to record the set for the last time. Due to COVID-19 the ICCA competition was cut short, so we wanted to create this music video to share all of our hard work. Hope you all enjoy it as much as we do.
Fun fact: we recorded both the video and audio using only our phones!

2020 ICCA Competition Results!
This weekend, we competed in the International Competition of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA) for the first time. We are so beyond thrilled to announce that we placed first in the Quarterfinals and will be moving onto the Semifinals in Phoenix later this month*. We are also excited to announce that we took home four outstanding soloist awards: Outstanding Vocal Percussion (David Rakieten), Outstanding Choreography (Thaddeus Demeke and Daniel Izarraras), and Outstanding Soloists (Mario Fong and Liv Vargas). We can't wait to continue working hard in preparation for Phoenix!
